Scholarship Information & Application

The Prince William Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America will award two (2) 2011 Conservation/Environmental Studies scholarships.


Congratulations to Nichole and Erica Stark who were awarded $500 each, for the college of their choice, by the IWLA Prince William Chapter.

The 2011 award winners submitted exceptional essays detailing thier views on conservation.

We are proud of you, Nichole and Erica, for your views regarding the preservation of our environment.

The Prince William Chapter wishes our award winners the very best as they pursue their education. You are our future!

Programs may include, but are not limited to, those such as: Environmental science/engineering/education, natural resource management, forestry, wildlife, fisheries, parks and recreation, range management, and soils, and other related sciences such as ecology, biology (conservation/field/marine), geology, hydrology, and zoology, including mammalogy,
ornithology, and entomology.

  • The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating High School Senior.
  • The Scholarship amount is to be $500 and will be paid to the recipient’s college of choice.
  • The applicant must graduate in 2011 and plan on majoring in a Conservation/Environmental or
    related field of study.

Deadline: Completed applications must be received by May 18, 2011.
